研究紹介

  1. 記憶は様々な脳高次機能の基盤であることから、老化や疾病に伴う記憶障害は患者や家族等周辺の人にも大きな影響を与えます。これらの記憶障害の理解そして治療のためには記憶の基礎的研究が必要です。基礎研究は薬物治療の標的分子を同定し、治療や薬物開発の基礎となります。
  2. 高齢化社会では、都市独特の独居、孤独などの問題が存在します。しかし、そこで、当研究室が持つ基礎心理学的、行動科学的手法を用いて動物モデルを構築します。動物モデルを用いてヒトではできない解析を通して問題の解決を目指します。
  3. 身体リハビリテーションは、身体の動きを取り戻すというよりは"新しい動きを学習する"ことだと考えられています。運動学習の中枢である小脳に着目して、リハビリテーションの効率的を目指す研究を行います。
  4. アルツハイマー型認知症は最も頻度の高い認知症であり、必ず記憶障害を伴います。このことは、アルツハイマー型認知症の発症メカニズムは記憶のメカニズムに大きく依存していることを意味しています。私たちは、アルツハイマー病発症における記憶メカニズムの役割について研究しています。
